Google Nexus 7 with Android 4 3 dual cameras to go on sale July 31
The second iteration of Googles Nexus 7 tablet will officially go on sale on July 31, according to reports late on Friday.

A tip sent to Engadget claimed the device will hit US retailer Staples on the last day of the month, with stock arriving next Wednesday.
Earlier in the afternoon a separate leak lifted the lid on more potential modifications of the Googles best-selling, multi-award-winning 7-inch slate.
A leaked photo of an on-screen specs list offers evidence that the device will now have a 5-megapixel camera on the rear, to accompany a 1.2-megapixel front facing snapper.
The photo, also leaked to Engadget, suggests that, as expected, that the device will be fitted with the new Android 4.3 operating system out of the box.
Itll also be compatible with wireless charging accessories and boast a slim port that will support 1080p HD content, when hooking the device up to a television set.
Expectations are that Google will lift the lid on the new slate at its breakfast with Sundar Pichai event on Wednesday evening (UK time).
There we hope to see Android 4.3, which leaked again on a Nexus 4 on Thursday night, revealed in its glory.
However, it isnt thought that the company will take the opportunity to expose the heavily-anticipated Moto X phone.

Facebook Is Buying Messaging App WhatsApp for 16 Billion
Facebook just entered into an agreement to buy the hugely popular messaging app, which recently passed the milestone of 450 million active monthly users. The cost? $16 billion (more on the price below). Wow.

According to the release, the purchase price is $4 billion in cash, $12 billion in Facebook stock, plus another $3 billion in restricted stock given to the founders and employees, which vests after four years. If you see a $19 billion number floating around out there, thats why. In other words, everyone who works for the company now has a huge incentive to stay on—and it shows that Facebook is interested in the talent that worked on the service, in addition to the platform itself.
WhatsApp is a cross-platform messaging service that works on iOS, Android, Blackberry, Windows Phone, and yes, even Nokias dying Symbian OS. Its basically messaging that works over your data connection or Wi-Fi instead of SMS—much like iMessage, except it works for everything. WhatsApp does multimedia, it does group chat, and its widely used internationally. Its free for the first year, and then just $1 per year after that.
According to the Facebook release, WhatsApp has 450 million active monthly users and is adding one million users per day. Thats an impressive clip.
Facebook has been trying to nail down messaging for some time now. There were rumors that Facebook offered Snapchat $3 billion in cash, which only happened after Facebook tried to build its own version of Snapchat. Facebook Messenger is actually a nice product that works over data internationally, much like WhatsApp. Unfortunately, people dont use it, or rather, its not incorporated into peoples lives in the way text messaging is—and thats what Facebook needs. Whats more, given Facebooks huge international reach, trying to edge out competitors on that front is a really smart move.
According to a blog post on WhatsApps website, absolutely nothing. Heres what co-founder Jan Koum had to say on the topic: "WhatsApp will remain autonomous and operate independently. You can continue to enjoy the service for a nominal fee. You can continue to use WhatsApp no matter where in the world you are, or what smartphone youre using. And you can still count on absolutely no ads interrupting your communication. There would have been no partnership between our two companies if we had to compromise on the core principles that will always define our company, our vision and our product."

Sony Xperia Z Ultra Google Play Edition joins a growing KitKat crowd
The LG G Pad 8.3 isnt the only device joining the Google Play Edition posse today. Sonys Xperia Z Ultra has signed onto the vanilla Android ranks as well.

Branded as the Z Ultra Google Play Edition, fans of the phablet-sized device can grab it running Android 4.4 by forking over $649 (about £394/AUS $708). Unfortunately, the device looks limited to the US Google Play Store for now.
The Z Ultra is identical to the Xperia Z Ultra Sony announced in June (not counting KitKat). The same whopping 6.4-inch screen with 1920 x 1080 resolution is there, though the Z Ultra still maintains a slim 6.5mm thick, 212 gram figure.
Inside, the smartphone packs a Qualcomm quad-core 2.2GHz processor with 2GB of RAM and 16GB storage. There is a spot for an external microSD/XC card slot.
The large phone also comes with a decent suite of cameras including an 8MP sensor on the back and 2MP front snapper for selfies. A 3,000mAh Lithium polymer battery keeps the Z Ultra Google Play Edition on task.
In a race to cram the biggest phone in consumers pockets, the Xperia Z Ultra is the largest, beating out its closest rival, the Samsung Galaxy Mega, by a mere 0.1-inches.
Those that want something in the slightly smaller sub-6-inch screen world should look for the still palm busting 5.9-inch HTC One Max or 5.7-inch Samsung Galaxy Note 3.
Of course the Play Edition of the Xperia Z Ultra holds an appeal for many as it runs stock Android 4.4. Not only does this mean its not lacquered with bloatware, the handset is primed to receive updates quicker than non-Google Play Edition handsets.

Google Maps comes to iPad with brand new app
Google has launched a brand new Google Maps app that finally brings the navigation service in a dedicated app for iPad and Android devices.

Building on the dedicated iPhone app launched in December last year after the Apple Maps fiasco, the new Google Maps will not only bring the service to iPad, but will introduce new features across all platforms.
A specially designed iPad and Android tablet Google Maps app has been created, which means full screen navigation and exploring on slates like the iPad mini and Google Nexus 7.
“The new Google Maps for mobile builds on the design we released for iPhone last December and improves on it with a few useful search and navigation features,” said Daniel Graf, Director of Google Maps in the official Google blog post. “And it’s the first dedicated app for Android tablets and iPads.”
Google has highlighted several new Google Maps features coming to Android and iOS users. The first is the ability to tap the search bar within Google Maps to bring up cards showing local places to eat, drink and shop.
In addition to live traffic information, Google Maps will now allow users to see any traffic incidents along their journey and find out more information about those problems. Like a high-end Sat Nav, Google Maps will also adjust the journey plan if a better route becomes available to avoid any traffic incidents.
Both of these new navigation features will currently only be available to Android users, but Google says it is bringing the functionality to iOS users soon.
A new 5 star rating system has been introduces for local places and amenities so users can see what their friends thought of a local shop or restaurant.
Offline maps are now accessed by entering “OK Maps” (sounds faintly like a Google Glass command to us) into the search box for the area the user wishes to look at later offline. Unfortunately this seems a laborious way to save maps for offline viewing.
Latitude and check-ins have been removed from the new Google Maps app, and will disappear from current versions on August 9. Any location sharing will be done via Google Plus instead. Although this is only for Android users at present.
The new Google Maps app has already started rolling out as version 7 to Android users, and iOS users should see the update become available soon.
The app is compatible with Android Ice Cream Sandwich and Jelly Bean devices, while only iOS 6 users or above will get the new update.

How To Root Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 and install CWM in it
Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 is a successor of Samsung Galaxy Ace and Samsung Galaxy Ace 2.
The device was released in June 2013, but is still very popular and my mate recently bought this device. I tried playing with it and I found that the performance in nice, sound is nice and other things.

It is a 4.0 inch mobile phone wtih 480 x 800 pixels and 233 PPI Pixels density. Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 has a 4 GB Internal memory along with 1 GB RAM which is quite nice for a device which was launched in mid-2013 at this price. Ace 3 doesnt have a MediaTek chipset, but a Broadcom BCM21664 (3G Model) / Qualcomm MSM8930 Snapdragon 400 (LTE Model). It has a Dual-core 1 GHz Cortex-A9 (3G Model) CPU / Dual-core 1.2 GHz Krait (LTE Model). My friend has LTE model and it is very quick. I havent used a 3G model, so dont know about the speed of it. The GPU of this device is fine, but the GPU of LTE model is better than the 3G model. It has Broadcom VideoCore IV (3G Model) / Adreno 305 (LTE Model) GPU.
I think 3G model users want to root their device to increase the speed of their handset and LTE model users for just fun, I mean ROMs, Kernels etc. There might be your reasons, I am just guessing it.
We will be rooting this handset by using Odin (to flash the ClockWorkMod Recovery) and ClockWorkMod Recovery (to flash the rooting toolkit). I hope you know these terms (CWM and Odin), if you dont know then dont worry. I will be explaining the tutorial very well and I hope you will have no problem while rooting your Samsung Galaxy Ace 3.
The tutorial is for both Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 LTE GT-s7275 and Samsung Galaxy Ace 3G GT-S7270. Other Ace 3 users dont worry. This guide will work on almost every SG Ace Models (GT-S7270, GT-S7270L, GT-S7272, GT-S7273T, GT-S7275, GT-S7275R), other users may not follow this article because it wont root your device.

CyanogenMod 11 4 4 KitKat for HTC Explorer How To Update It
Did you even thought of CyanogenMod 11 (4.4 KitKat) for HTC Explorer? I am sure you didnt expected this. HTC Explorer is an latest outdated Android device because of its specifications and the release date. I am not saying the device is poor but it is a great that this device has received CyanogenMod 11. Many other popular devices like HTC One X has not got KitKat update! I actually cant believe on it because it has got CyanogeMod 11 but anyway, good for HTC Explorer customers.
Lets see the specifications of this device first.

The ROM will take more time to boot because it (the OS) is building some caches, important data files and some other files that are needed for the boot. This won;t take more than 5 minutes. So wait for sometimes until you boot into the world of Android 4.4 KitKat. So this was my post on How to update HTC Explorer to Android 4.4 KitKat (CyanogemMod 11). Hope you successfully installed Android 4.4 KitKat on your HTC Pico. If you have any problems while flashing the ROM in your Explorer then shoot a comment. Also please share it with your friends so even they can install KitKat. Other devices users, please wait. I will soon post updates for your devices too.
